On the western bank of the Ganges, Kalna is a small Municipal Town having rail connection with Howrah & Sealdah and linked by road with Kolkata, Burdwan and other major towns of West Bengal.
Its claim to fame and glory dates back to the 18th century. This town is adorned by a number of historical monuments, which have great archeological and religious values.
